2021 Smart Energy Existing Home
Smart Thermostat Installation Form
1. Santee Cooper is offering a $50 rebate for single family and a
$30 rebate for multi-family prequalified smart thermostats to
eligible residential customers.
Smart Thermostats must match device name and model
number per Table 1-1 (see page 2).
2. The home must meet the following eligibility requirements to
participate:
Home must be separately metered and receive electrical
service from Santee Cooper.
Appliances
Electric
Non-Electric
Water Heater
HVAC Equipment (Heating)
Clothes Dryer
Stove
Definition of Single Family vs Multi-Family:
* Single Family – non-stacked residences with their own
HVAC and water heating systems (i.e. Detached
Homes, Duplexes, and Townhomes)
* Multi-Family – any stacked residences with their own
HVAC and water heating systems (i.e. Apartments and
Condominiums)
3. Smart Thermostats must be new. Rebate payments are
limited to the price of the smart thermostat and a maximum
of two (2) qualifying devices per customer address.
4. Rebate processing is contingent upon receipt and final
review of this form and the following required materials:
Picture(s) of installed eligible device(s)
Proof of purchase
5. All required documentation must be submitted no later than
November 30, 2021. Reference the Program Manual for
details.
