How to Subscribe to Criminal Defense Attorney Portal:
1. Read the Disclaimer and Terms of Use Form. Sign and date below.
2. Complete the Application Form. Sign and date below.
3. Mail both documents and payment to:

Subscription Terms of Use
1. The subscription fee is $100 per calendar year, and is non-refundable.
2. During the Subscription year, the Subscriber will be granted access to the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal.
In cases where the Subscriber represents a party, access will be granted to all information in the Criminal
Defense Attorney Portal that an attorney representing a party is legally entitled to access. In all other cases, the
Subscriber will be granted access to all information in the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal to which the public
is legally entitled to access.
3. Should the Subscriber become ineligible to practice law, he or she must cease accessing non-public information in
the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal, and access to the Portal will be suspended.
4. Subscriber may access, use, and disclose information from the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal only in the
course and scope of the representation, or contemplated representation, of a party in a matter.
Subscriber may authorize staff or consultants to access, use, and disclose information from the
Criminal Defense Attorney Portal in the course and scope of the representation.
Subscriber is responsible for overseeing use and will require each user to agree in writing to comply with the
Terms of Use. Improper use of access under this agreement will be attributed to the Subscriber.

5. The Subscriber agrees to establish and practice data security for all information obtained through the
Criminal Defense Attorney Portal that prevents unauthorized use, access, distribution, modification, theft,
or sabotage, whether internal or external and whether due to natural or human-caused disasters or intrusions.
Unauthorized use includes, but is not limited to, electronically uploading to internet websites, copying, saving,
faxing or emailing information obtained from the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal, except in the course of
representation of a party. The Subscriber may not sell, assign, or transfer any Information obtained from the Portal.
6. PERSONAL USE OF INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM THE CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY PORTAL IS PROHIBITED.
“Personal use” includes, but is not limited to, using this information to solicit business or to initiate contact with
potential new clients for yourself or others. The Court will report any prohibited uses to the State bar and to
appropriate local authorities.
7. All Criminal Defense Attorney Portal User IDs and passwords are to be treated as confidential and may not
be transferred.
8. The Subscriber acknowledges and consents to the Court monitoring and auditing of any access to the Criminal
Defense Attorney Portal using the Subscriber’s User ID and password.
9. Cancellation policy: Subscriber and/or the Court may cancel the subscription for any reason at any time.
10. Access to the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal is granted solely at the discretion of the Orange County
Superior Court. The Court may revoke or deny access to a subscriber for any reason. Any person who willfully
destroys or alters any court record maintained in electronic form is subject to prosecution and penalties,
including those imposed by Government Code section 6201. Please read the Court’s Privacy Policy
at: www.occourts.org/privacy-policy.html for more details.
11. Indemnification: Subscriber agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Orange County Superior
Court, its officers, agents and employees (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”), with respect to any claim, loss,
liability, damage, lawsuit, cost, or expense that arises out of, or is in any way related to the Subscriber’s use of
the Criminal Defense Attorney Portal or this agreement. The indemnity obligation will extend, without limitation,
to any and all claims of every kind and nature whatsoever, arising in any manner by reason of the negligent acts,
errors, omissions or willful misconduct incident to the use of Criminal Defense Attorney Portal by Subscriber and
its agents or employees, as to any injury, loss, or damage that is sustained by any person, entity or organization.
The provisions of this section shall survive the expiration or termination of this agreement.
