• Allows user to adjust lighting using a hand-
held Wireless Remote Control when Control
Unit(s) are located in a different room or area.
• GRX-IT 4-Scene Wireless Remote Control
selects scenes 1 to 4, 5 to 8, 9 to 12, or 13
to 16 plus off.
• GRX-8IT 8-Scene Wireless Remote Control
selects scenes 1 to 8, 5 to 12, 9 to 16, or 13
to 16/1 to 4 plus off.
• Raise/lower button on GRX-IT and GRX-8IT
Wireless Remote Controls brightens or dims
all lighting in the selected scene.
• Reception range: 360°, 50 ft. (15m) line-of-
sight.
• Mounts in metal collar provided by Lutron.

1. Choose a location.
• Ensure a clear line-of-sight to the Ceiling Receiver.
• Keep away from ventilation ducts, lighting fixtures,
and direct sunlight.
2. Install the collar.
• Cut a 2 3/16” (55mm) square opening in the ceiling.
• Insert the collar and hold it tightly against the ceiling.
• Bend down the collar’s four fingers.
3. Wire.
• Daisy-chain the Ceiling Receiver to Processor Panel
with low-voltage Class 2 (PELV) wiring for system
communications.
4. Install the Ceiling Receiver.
• Slide the Receiver through ceiling-mounted collar
until flange butts against ceiling.

• Use low-voltage Class 2 (PELV) wiring to connect Ceiling
Receiver to Processor Panel. Consult the Processor Panel
Specification Submittal for more details.
• Make connections inside the wallbox or in a switch/junction
box with a maximum wire length of 8 feet (2.5m) from the link
to the Ceiling Receiver.
• Two #12 AWG (2.5mm
2
) conductors for common (terminal 1)
and 32 V Direct Current (terminal 2).
• One shielded, twisted pair #18 AWG (1.0mm
2
) for data link
(terminals 3 and 4).
• Do not connect Drain/Shield to Ground (Earth) or Wallstation.
Connect the bare drain wires and cut off the outside shield.
