Multifamily Affordable Solar Housing (MASH)
Cost Justification and Acknowledgment Form
This form is required because the cost per watt that was submitted on PowerClerk for this MASH project
exceeds the Limitations on Installed Cost. Please refer to the MASH Program Handbook for more
information. The proposed project is significantly more expensive than most projects in the MASH
program and requires a cost justification. The MASH Program Handbook explicitly lists what are eligible
project costs in order for an application to be valid. The MASH Program Administrators will determine
compliance with the MASH Program Handbook. Applications that exceed the Limitations on Installed
Cost must demonstrate that the high cost is supported by eligible project costs in the MASH Program
Handbook or the application will be invalid. No projects will be paid without sufficient justification and a
Host Customer acknowledgment.
This form requires first that the applicant provide justification for the high unit cost of this proposed
project and second that the host customer acknowledges that he/she has read and understood the
explanation and is aware that the total proposed system cost is significantly in excess of typical projects in
the MASH Program.
