The CSU International Programs
Scholarship Application
This scholarship is made possible through the generous donations of past IP
students. The award is $500. Selection will be based on academic excellence,
financial need and the quality of the scholarship application.
Submit your scholarship application by December 15 (for academic year programs) or
May 1 (for calendar year programs) to
your home campus study abroad advisor.
(The same day that your IP application is due.)
Recipients will be required to write and submit a three-page summary of their IP experiences and submit it to OIP mid-year (Decembe
r
for most programs, July for Australia and South Africa). Actual financial awards will be mailed to students mid-year, after their
written statements are received (Jan
uary for most programs, August for Australia and South Africa). Recipients agree to assist OIP
during their year abroad by corresponding by e-mail with the Assistant Director for Student
Affairs to provide updated information
that future IP participants will need to know.
The scholarship is available to all IP participants except those applying for Japan, China or Taiwan. (Students applying for Japan,
China or Taiwan should see their IP Campus Coordinators for information about other scholarship opportunities.)

International Programs Scholarship Essay
Using the space provided, please write a two or three paragraph essay explaining why you should be considered for an IP
Scholarship. Keep in mind that your essay should focus especially on your academic achievements thus far and your
financial need in the year ahead.
The information contained in this application is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. If any of this

I understand that if I am chosen to receive an IP Scholarship, I will be obliged to submit an essay to OIP mid-way through
my program, and that the essay may be used for advertising purposes. I also understand that the financial award will be
