INSTRUCTIONS FOR
MOTION FOR DEFAULT
A Motion for Default is for filing by the Plaintiff when the Defendant is in default for not filing an answer
either in the 5 day period allowed for in eviction, or if they did not appear for a scheduled pre-trial
hearing. The Clerk’s office can verify the validity of a default. A non-military affidavit must be filed at the
same time as the Motion for Default.
