Eligibilitv (RCW28B.15.621) In support of RCW 28B.15.621 Wenatchee Valley College offers a 50%
tuition waiver discount to eligible veteran and national guard members*.
Waivers may also be available to those veterans or National Guard members who meet the
guidelines of being a Washington State Resident and that did not serve on foreign soil or in
international waters, or in support of those who did, and/or did not receive an honorable
discharge.
*An eligible veteran or National Guard member is a Washington domiciliary (RCW28B.15.013) who was an
active or reserve member of the United States military or naval forces, or a national guard member called to
active duty, who served in active federal service, under either Title 10 or Title 32 of the United States Code, in
a war or conflict fought on foreign soil or in international waters or in another location in support of those
serving on foreign soil or in international waters, and if discharged from service, has received an honorable
discharge.
Procedures Submit the completed application and the Certificate of Discharge, DD214 Member 4
Form (copy showing discharge status) to the WVC Veteran Office prior to the tuition due date.
The application will not be processed unless submitted before the end of the quarter in which the
waiver is being applied. Students are responsible for any tuition and fees until eligibility is
determined. A refund will be processed if tuition and fees have been paid and eligibility is later
determined. Additional information may be requested prior to determination of eligibility.
Veterans with DD214s that do not reflect applicable service should request an updated copy by submitting a
DD215 Form directly to the Veterans Administration.
I certify the information provided on this application, and in all supporting documents, is true and
accurate. I understand that the waiver is granted on a quarter-by-quarter basis and that I may be
required to re-submit this application. I also understand that I must continue to meet all of the eligibility
criteria in order to qualify for the waiver and that if I do not meet all of the eligibility criteria, I will be
required to pay the full tuition rate.
