PERMITTED WORK MAY NOT EXCEED THE SCOPE OF THE SCALED DRAWING
SUBMITTED AND APPROVED BY THE ROAD AGENT AND ANY CONDITIONS SET
OUT BY THIS PERMIT.
THIS PERMIT EXPIRES ON THE DATE WRITTEN ABOVE OR THIRTY (30) DAYS
FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE. WORK TO BE DONE AFTER THE EXPIRATION
REQUIRES RENEWAL. YOU MAY APPLY FOR A RENEWAL BY CONTACTING
THE ROAD AGENT.
The applicant hereby agrees to conform to the specifications and regulations in
the Roadway Excavation Ordinance, set out in the Allenstown code of Municipal
Ordinances, Section 215.
The pavement must be cut prior to excavating. The pavement and base course
material are to be discarded. Excavations below sub-grade are to be saved and used
for backfill to prevent differential frost heaving. The disturbed area must be backfilled,
using excavation, in layers not exceeding six (6) inches, up to sub-grade. The base
course shall be used for patching material, unless otherwise stated. Earth areas
disturbed will be replaced in kind. Each day all trenches shall be backfilled and
roadway trenches shall be paved flush. Traffic shall be maintained pursuant to the most
recent edition of the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The Manual is set out at
http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/
No work shall be performed in the right of way between November 15 and
April 15 or during periods of inclement weather or as directed by the Board of
Selectmen or the Road Agent.

The applicant agrees to save the Town of Allenstown harmless from any and all
claims arising from the construction, maintenance and operation of the work permitted
hereby. The applicant also agrees to assume such additional costs as may be imposed
pursuant to Roadway Excavation Ordinance.
